Server-enforced reciprocity
The rule is simple: you see the others only while you are visible yourself. It is not a setting that can be bypassed — the server refuses group positions unless you are sharing. Fair for everyone, no invisible spectators.
(03) — Live on the trail
You start sharing with one button on the map. From that moment the group sees your position, distance and phone battery — and you see theirs. That is all. And it is exactly enough.

While moving, your position updates every 12 seconds. Standing still, it transmits rarely. Below 20% battery it slows down on its own, and below 10% it drops to one signal every 5 minutes — still visible to the group, gentle on the phone.
Sharing dies with the trip — or when you stop it, with a confirmation that guards against accidental taps. There is no tracking after the trip and no long-term position history.
FAQ
Only the members of the trip you joined — and only while you share. Nobody outside the trip has access, and the organizer has no special rights over your position.

Live positions exist for the map, during the trip. We do not build movement profiles and do not keep long-term position history. Your recorded GPX track is different: it is yours, saved by you, in your account.
No. No ads, no data brokers, no hidden tracking SDKs in the app. The data lives on our infrastructure, full stop.
Yes. Sharing is always your choice. The only consequence is reciprocity: while you do not share, you do not see the others on the map either.
